Our Mission
To offer a safe environment and shelter for companion animals including medical care, vaccinations, and micro-chipping by loving and caring individuals, until we can adopt them into a new suitable home. We do this with 100% private donation.

Our story began with four people and a fierce desire to help save homeless animals in Manatee County. The HSLWR's first rescue pup was a 150 pound mastiff housed at a founding Board member's private home and a new rescue and shelter organization was born! Our story began with four people and a fierce desire to help save homeless animals in Manatee County. The HSLWR's first rescue pup was a 150 pound mastiff housed at a founding Board member's private home and a new rescue and shelter organization was born! Soon, The Humane Society at Lakewood Ranch was providing food, shelter and medical care to six dogs!
In 2019, a generous benefactor purchased a house and garage in Myakka City, FL on 5.6 acres of land for us to develop into the state-of-the-art shelter we have today.

Teams pair up and play a minimum of there games. Brackets are designed to match skill levels, which helps ensure everyone has an enjoyable and competitive experience. Overall winners from each bracket will receive a prize. If you have never played in a tournament our FUNdraiser is the perfect place to give it a try!
Pro-Am Event

Bid on an opportunity to play with a local Pro! Our Pro-Am pickleball tournament is a great way to watch some high-level competition while also getting a chance to play with local pros. Pros from around the community donate their time to compete against each other for bragging rights. Bid to play or watch the fun!
